I’d always dreamed of having a good physique but as I got older I’d put on more and more weight. I had lost quite a bit of weight by the time I set foot in Complete Physique and met Matt. I’d heard about his excellent reputation in the gym I was at previously. I bit the bullet and approached Matt and asked if he’d coach me with the view of competing in a show. Far from being dismissive of the idea his encouragement was inspiring. We began working together with him setting training and nutrition plans in place and a date for a show was set. All through my prep, through constant feedback, I received the the advice and encouragement required. His knowledge really is second to none. On April 30th 2017, at the age of 47, I stepped on stage in the shape of my life. This was all down to Matt and I really won’t be able to thank him enough. If you feel you need help then there’s only one person and I really can’t praise him highly enough.

I started with matt around 2 years ago now, I had reached a plateau in my own fat loss journey (83kg down to 66kg) and I think I was eating so little my body just started storing it, it was infuriating! I was training hard and eating all the right things (I thought I was anyway), not losing any more weight and looking more ‘wobbly’ if anything. After a little thought I contacted matt through a good friend of mine as I had heard and seen great things. Before I knew it, I was on a 12 week transformation plan. I started noticing significant improvements just 3 weeks in and I loved the whole process. So much so, I carried on with matt into a full ‘bulk’ following the diet, added some serious muscle keeping body fat minimal and decided to aim for my first show, allowing 14 weeks to prep. Matt took me through the whole ‘prep’ process and put up with my tantrums and assured me all would be okay and somehow managed to keep me sane. I ended up coming 3rd place in the UKBFF East of England show and therefore qualifying for the British Finals a few weeks later. We were both over the moon! I never expected to place at my first show.

After seeing one my pals take part in the 12 week program, I was amazed at his results. So both my partner and I signed up. After we got our work-out plans and meal plans we got to it. It was hard at first but you soon get into the swing off it and he is always there to help. In just 1 month I lost 1 stone in weight and fitness was improving, after 2 months over a stone and I half, 9week weigh in I was 2stone 2 lb lighter and unbelievable fitter. This guy knows his stuff and wants you to get to where you want to, unlike some trainers that will just give you a half hearted plan so you have to keep giving them money. so just dig deep do exactly what he says, and the result will amaze you. 12 weeks are nothing for life changing results. Highly recommended! Couldn’t thank him enough.

After a horrendous competition prep and coming on stage around 10kg lighter than I should have I was very reluctant to use a coach again… but after msging Matthew and seeing his own results as well as many happy clients then I decided to give him a message. He has since got me well on track for my offseason and hoping to do some proper damage when I compete for a second time next year. Straight talking guy and always happy to answer any questions.

18 months ago I was hugely overweight and suffering from depression. Since training with Matt, my lifestyle has completely changed, for the better. I’m at a healthy weight now, and I can say in all honesty that I love the physical and mental results that training with Matt has helped me to achieve. I’m about to embark on the 12 week challenge – which is certainly going to be just that… especially with my obsession with food! Matt, you changed my life. Thank you!

I joined Matt’s gym complete physique last October and went for the full training and nutrition plan with personal training sessions, I’ve never looked back.

The training and nutrition has continued to change to fit my goals, which has all been done by Matt.Matt has been fully supportive, and through his knowledge and experience I have now achieved beyond my original goal which was fat loss.

I now plan to compete next year under the coaching of Matt.
